I made it!

日本三景 (Nihon Sankei) means 3 most scenic views of Japan ranged by Shunsai Hayashi.

Nihon Sankei consists of
宮島 Miyajima (Itsukushima) in Hiroshima
天橋立 Amanohashidate in Kyoto
松島 Matsushima in Miyagi

For more detail about Nihon Sankei see http://nihonsankei.jp/eng/index.html

First, I have to say "thousand" Thanks to P'Yoot who share information about Nihon Sankei.
Not only that, I also need to say Thanks to his guide book too...it contains all useful information for all 3 places (even some information is a bit outdated though, just kidding na :P)

All of them are beautiful, really are. Anyway,I personally like Amanohashidate the most even it's quite difficult to get to Amanohashidate, 2 hours by express reserved train from Kyoto. There are a lot of nice hills and river scenics along the way. It's worth for 2 hours train ride. This possibly be the reason!. Also in Amanohashidate, it's quite peaceful compare to others, not much crowded by tourists (yeah, I am tourist) and students from school trip. The city, itself, is quiet city too.

For Miyajima, tori and shrine, you'll notice both of them even far far from the ferry. Unfortunately, the day I visited, it was raining. So I couldnt go up to the top of Mt.Misen to see the shrine and tori from the top. It might be very beautiful. I just dislike the smell of deer sh!t only.

Matsushima, the best way to see Matsushima is taking a boat trip. But only problem is the explanation are all 100% in Japanese no English at all. It is a bit difficult to get to the meaning of each island and why the name come from. Luckily that the boat provided English leaflet, even it's not detailed as in Japanese though.

As I noticed, all of them have same combinations: Sea, Mountain, Pine Trees.

Lastly, all of them mentioned above are worthy places to visit! If you have a chance, you shouldn't miss. The most beautiful time should be in autumn for Miyajima. I'm not sure about Amanohashidate and Matsushima because pine trees always "green" anyway autumn should be a lot better than damn hot summer though.

Day 3 - Himeji & Horyuji

Himeji castle is my main target for today. Himeji castle is one of Japan's most beautiful castle. Also Himeji never got destroyed during any war, earthquake or fire.
You can notice the castle even from Shinkansen station. It took around 15 minutes from station to the castle. The castle is very very beautiful especially on nice blue sky, sunny day. The entrance fee to castle is 600 Yen but it's worth though. They still keep a lot of old stuffs since the old time. But it was kinda tired to get to the top, especially for the stair (it's very small). I might appreciated more if I could understand all of them. Unfortunately, my Japanese was and is so bad (>.<). View from the top is nice.

After that I jumped on the train, headed to Shin-Osaka then transfer to local train to Nara. It was a bit late on that day already, I could make only Horyuji (one of world heritage). It has one of Japan's oldest and grandest Buddhist temples. Unfortunately, there was a big group of Korean's school trip in the same time with me. It was a bit difficult to walk in and see inside the temple -"-.

Day 2 - Amanohashidate, Kyoto

Again, see photos first :P

After almost half year, I'm gonna clear all the story before I go back! How lazy I am!
Amanohashidate (天橋立) [bridge to heaven (?)]is one of Japan's top three most beautiful places. Even it's located in Kyoto but it's not even close to Kyoto city, almost 2 hours by express train. But view along the way is quite nice, a lot of mountain views, rivers, water falls. I think it must be very very beautiful in autumn season ;)

Once get to Amanohashidate, it is very quiet compare to other tourist attractions. Possibly because it's a bit far. Amanohashidate itself is 3.6 kilometer long covered with pine trees on sand bar. I was too lazy to walk total 3.6 Km, I decided to choose boat instead :P. Once get to another side, took cable car to the top. The correct way to see the bridge to heaven is bend and look upside down between your legs. Unfortunately, I'm not good at imagination or creativity so I couldnt image to see the bridge at all, even i tried couple times though (T_T).

Anyway, the city itself is very quite and the view is quite nice. I like it!

Day 1 - Miyajima, Hiroshima

๋ีJust got a chance to update story about my trip :)

Day 1, took a first Hikari Shinkansen from Tokyo to Hiroshima, need to change to Hikari rail star at Shin-Osaka station. Hikari rail star for reserved seat is very nice...only 4 seats per row ,2-2, with wider seat, very comfortable.
It took 3 hours from Tokyo to Shin-Osaka. Plus another 2 hours to Hiroshima. I left Tokyo around 6:30, reached Hiroshima almost noon.

First place to visit was Miyajima. Unfortunately, it was raining. Even raining, the shrine still look very beautiful. Due to rain, I decided not to go up to Mt.Misen then have a walk around island.

After that moved to Hiroshima city area. Went to Genbaku-dome (Atomic dome) and Peace Memorial Park. I fell depressed after see the museum and walk around the area.

Last thing, hard to miss, Hiroshima Okonomiyaki.... it was good :)
