At the time I was in Japan, it was the middle of season changes from summer to autumn. During this time it is Typhoon time, normally, one or two max per year will directly hit Tokyo. Dunno what's wrong with yr 2004, we found total 3 of them. Such a nightmare! Especially the day Shally and I had a date in Harajuku (原宿)
Sat 9 Oct 2004
Got a phone call from Shally in the morning, around 8 o'clok, still in the bed. Totally blur when picked up the call. My brain couldn't work properly after wake up, so I answered her first question in Thai.. hahaha..then I realized that I have to speak English...sorry Shally... ^^ Then we planned our date by meet each other at Snoopy Town in front of Harajuku station.
At Harajuku, we started with Meji Jingu Shrine as it is the good place to start, very closed to eki. After left the shrine, we walked thru Omote-sandou and stopped at Condomania (Hehe..Just have a look :P). Then headed to Oriental Bazaar, Shally need to buy some souvenir for her family and friends in PNG. This shop is really cool, it sells a lot of thing that related to Japan such as Gimono, Yukata, Japanese bowls, chopstick, t-shirt or even a kite. We spent quite some times at this shop. After Left Orinetal Bazaar, we still on omote-sandou looking for delicious cake shop that Izumi and Shally came last time. Unfortunately, we couldnt find this shop. So we decided to walk thru all tiny alleys for window shopping. There are a lot of cute clothes store located in those tiny alleys.
Suddenly, it started to rain and we r a bit hungry so we had our lunch breakat restaurant near Sony plaza, the junction between Omodte-sandou and Meiji Dori. Since it was raining out there so we had plenty of times to talk about each other life, talk about plan after back to home country, about bf and ex-bf etc...I really have a great time and it really good that we spend time together ;)
After lunch and cake (finally we ate CAKE!!), we did another window shopping at Laforet and hopped to other department stores nearby. Then we stopped at some game center with photo sticker machine. It was really really fun coz we had to operate this machine by our own without any knowledge in Japanese and fyi, using this machine isnt easy at all. Finally, we did it..we got our cute photo stickers behind messy steps.
Wah, it was raining again...Starbucks Harajuku is our next pit stop, we thought we gonna wait until the rain stop..But we changed our mind after we saw water level and shopguys start to bring sandbag to keep their shops from flood...unbelievable flood in Harajuku...Unbelievable !! It would be better to leave now..since both of us didnt bring umbrellas today. We had to buy a new one for each..but it still couldnt covered us from heavy rain and wind..We walked along Takeshita Dori under really worst condition..our jeans are wet ..and it's damn cold...
Heard that it was another Typhoon !! damn, i hate typhoon.
